In April 2026, Shikshadwar Foundation launched a six-month Women Tailoring and Entrepreneurship Training Programme to empower 40 women from underserved communities with employable skills and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The programme provides comprehensive practical training in tailoring, garment stitching, measurement techniques, cutting, finishing, and basic entrepreneurship. Upon successful completion in September 2026, participants will be equipped to seek employment in the garment and apparel industry or establish their own tailoring units or boutiques, enabling them to become financially independent.
To maximize livelihood outcomes, Shikshadwar Foundation is actively engaging with corporate partners, apparel manufacturers, and CSR agencies to facilitate job placements, market linkages, and entrepreneurship support for the trainees.
